As Disciples at Laketon Bethel we grow by serving our community. This service includes being the voice of encouragement and hope to everyone we meet and by getting involved in a service team for the church or community.
The following Serving Opportunities are currently available:
Volunteers are needed to help out in our nursery during both services-Please contact Joann Petroski.
Our Children's Church is in need of teachers and activity time volunteers to assist our young in getting to know God-Please contact Stefanie Sweany, Team Leader.
Greeters are needed to greet people and pass out bulletins before each service, and servers for coffee and cookies are needed after the services. Contact the office.
Our Home Touch Ministry serves our Seniors and Armed Forces with a variety of services throughout the year-please contact Sharon Jacobs at 744-5392 or Gay Hudson at 755-0957 if you are interested in helping out or if you have a family member who is shut in or in the military.
Laketon Bethel is a Family Promise host church. This rewarding ministry provides temporary shelter for families going through transitions due to unforeseen situations. We will need drivers, overnighters, meal preparers, family time hosts and laundry people. Please check your bulletins for more information or see Connie Maciewjewski or Cheryl Howard. A big heartfelt Thank You to all the volunteers that have helped in the past and a big Welcome to new volunteers!
Prayer is always a good way to serve. Please continue to pray for our church leaders and members of our church family along with those who are walking the path to faith. Sign up to be a "Prayer Warrior" and receive special prayer requests via e-mail. Please see John Wilke and Paula Scott-Stewart.
Food items will be distributed to families in need. The food truck is here at Laketon Bethel Reformed once a month. Please join as a volunteer, many hands are needed to make this great service opportunity a great success. It is a very rewarding project to be involved with. If you have any questions, please see John Wilke.
Share your talents by joining one of the Music Worship Teams! Contact Jan Reahm for First Service or Shelly Deblock for Second Service.
Cakes are needed for funerals, contact Donna Doctor; or help the funeral luncheon crew in the kitchen, Jill Verhulst.
